1968 Telecaster Bass

I I bought this bass new in 68. It was a see- through blonde finish with a white pickguard. It has seen many changes. It has been painted Blue, red and now black . The original pickup has long bit the dust and was thrown out( along with the original pickguard) yrs ago by my ex-wife ( hence a major reason we are not married today). It now has a Seymour Duncan Hot vintage pk\up, a custom tortoiseshell pkguard, single-ply. It has shielding foil underneath for shielding and it helps brings out the tortoiseshell. It has oval keys. It is really strange that both my 66 jazz and the Tele have the rarest tuning keys on them. It was not something I was aware until the late 80's. It now has a new Fender bridge, thru the body like the original but ind intonation.I still have the original bridge and covers for it!!! The neck ,for most of the late 80's to mid 90's, was on my 72 p\bass body tuned B-E-A-D. I used my old Tele bass all through high school. This is the bass I used in the F.F.A. String Band which got us in the GA Music Hall of Fame!!! It still has the original frets. For yrs I only used Fender Black Nylon Tape strings on it.
