I
got this bass from Sam Ash several yrs. ago. It plays well,I
used it as a back up for a while. I have been planning to
hot rod it some but I went a different direction. This is
my Mardi Gras bass. Keeping with the purple, green and gold
color theme, I found some metal paint at Wally World in
the automotive dept. It took several times of painting small
groups of parts to find the right procedure. After several
light coats over several days and a wk of drying, I gave
everything several coatings of clear coat. The colors will
scratch very easy and this seems to help a little. The gold
paint does not take to the clear coat but seems to not chip
as bad so I left it alone. It may not be a really great
job but I had lot of fun doing it. Besides most everyone
at Mardi Gras is a little visually impaired at least everyone
I know!!!! PS While I had it apart ,I shielded the bass. |
